Drive to Ikea, Orlando to pick up dining room cabinets, order kitchens for both of us.
We are both using Adel off white.
Beth loved at my designs and made a few suggestions.
Dining Room Window Seat - use the Ikea legs and hanging rail to install them. (Originally I was going to use 2 x 4's)
MJ kitchen - Made some suggestions which didn't work in our space and we are going with original design.
Ate lunch
Loaded Dining room window seat cabinets.
Got frozen yogurt to go.
Home before 7pm

I kept wondering why the cabinets for MJ were cheaper than I thought they would be.
I double checked the layout versus the detailed list against the itemized bill.
OOPS! The suggestions the kitchen designer tried somehow overlaid my design so we have a 15" base instead of a 24" and the corner cabinet is non existent. And there was a countertop which we didn't want on the order. I called Beth at Ikea and she said it was already on the pallet for delivery. The delivery is set for July 9th.
We have to wait for delivery, then take back the items we don't want and get the ones we do want. What a pain!
I remeasured MJ's kitchen because everything was a little tight so we changed our design a little, which means more cabinets to take back and more to bring home. But I think it will be cheaper with the new plan.
Lessons learned..
Measure and remeasure, then allow yourself extra inches.
Before you pay for cabinets, take the itemized list and match it up to your design. This is time consuming but would have saved us.

Moved my sofa into sunroom to create a work space in the living room. Ended up in the dining room instead.
I moved my two dining tables together to create a work table. It's perfect!
Opened first box to try to put one together.
Already I am missing one screw and the hanging rail the kitchen designer suggested is nowhere to be found. But I didn't pay for one. So we have to wait til next week for that too.
I'm confused already. Next step, find youtube instructions. Open next box to use the missing screw.
More later..
